The short version

Browsing this site is anonymous. The tow checker and fee estimator run without an account and your answers are not saved or tied to you. The only time we collect personal information is when you submit a form yourself, and we tell you exactly what happens to it below.

The checker and the estimator

Your answers to the "Was my tow legal?" questions and the days you slide on the fee estimator stay in your browser. Our analytics count events only (a verdict was shown, an estimate was completed), never your answers, your city, or anything typed. Server logs kept by our hosting provider (Vercel) may record IP addresses for security and are retained per their standard policy.

"Email me this guide"

If you ask us to email you a guide, we keep your email address and use it to send that guide, and for nothing else unless you separately opt in to Buddy Network updates. We never sell email addresses, and every email includes a one-click unsubscribe.

Crash inquiries

If you send a crash-tow inquiry, we collect the name, contact information, and crash details you provide, along with the exact consent language you agreed to, the time, and a hashed IP for fraud protection. The inquiry goes to Dan Swenson at Robert Wilson & Associates, the attorney who builds this site, and nowhere else: it is never sold, never shared with other lawyers or vendors, and never treated as a marketing lead. Access to crash inquiries is restricted and every access is logged. No attorney-client relationship is formed unless you and the attorney agree to one. Attorney advertising.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers. Our own analytics store event names only, with no answers, addresses, or identifiers attached. Basic, aggregate traffic analytics may be collected by our hosting provider.

Data removal

To have a guide-email signup or crash inquiry deleted, contact us and include the email or phone number you submitted so we can locate the record.
